A Medical Weight Loss Clinic in Myrtle Beach That Is Also Your Primary Care

Most weight loss clinics focus on brief check-ins and prescriptions, leaving you to manage the rest of your health with another doctor. That can make it harder to coordinate your care.

At Sarova Health, weight management is part of your primary care. Dr. Patel considers your weight alongside your health history, medications, lab results, sleep, stress, and goals. As your health changes, he can review your medications and adjust them when medically appropriate for example, if your blood pressure or blood sugar improves. Together, you’ll build a plan that fits your life in the Grand Strand.

Weight Loss Medication in Myrtle Beach

Semaglutide (the active ingredient in Wegovy and Ozempic) and tirzepatide (the active ingredient in Zepbound and Mounjaro) are prescription medications that can help reduce appetite and support weight loss for people who qualify. They work best alongside changes in eating and activity, and they require medical supervision.

At Sarova Health, Dr. Patel will:

  • Review your health history and any needed lab results to see whether medication may be appropriate.

  • Discuss potential benefits, common side effects, and what to expect.

  • If you start treatment, begin with a low dose and adjust it gradually based on your response.

  • Follow your progress and order follow-up labs when needed.

  • Talk with you about next steps, including ways to maintain your progress.

Medication is not included in your membership. The cost depends on the medication and your insurance coverage. Prescriptions are sent to your local pharmacy. We will walk you through your options before you start.

Medical Weight Loss in Myrtle Beach: Frequently Asked Questions

How much does medical weight loss cost in Myrtle Beach?

At Sarova Health, weight care is part of the $125 monthly membership plus a one-time $99 registration fee. That covers unlimited doctor visits and messaging. Labs are billed at member prices, usually a few dollars per test. Weight loss medication, if prescribed, is a separate cost.

Do you prescribe semaglutide or tirzepatide?

Yes, when it is medically appropriate. Dr. Patel will review your history and labs, discuss whether a GLP-1 medication is right for you, and monitor you closely if you start.

Do I need insurance?

No. Sarova Health does not bill insurance for membership or visits. Many patients keep insurance for hospital care, specialists and prescriptions, and some plans may help cover weight loss medication.

How much weight will I lose?

Results vary from person to person. Your plan depends on your health, your goals and how your body responds. Dr. Patel will set realistic targets with you and adjust the plan as you go.

How often will I see the doctor?

As often as you need. Most patients check in every few weeks while starting a new plan or medication, then less often once things are stable. Visits and messaging are unlimited.

Can Medicare patients join for weight loss care?

Yes, Medicare patients are welcome. Sarova Health does not bill Medicare, and Medicare does not cover the membership fee. Medicare drug plans generally do not cover medications used only for weight loss, so we will talk through costs with you first. Medicare patients may qualify for the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program.

How is Sarova different from other medical weight loss clinics in Myrtle Beach, SC?

Your care is led by a board-certified internal medicine physician who also manages your other health conditions, checks your labs and adjusts your other medications as you lose weight.
